Iron Curtain at Stalin's empire-building ploys, his jokes, his
womanizing, his "warm fatherly-side" and his cold-blooded
cruelty.
Sasha Contract was not just an ordinary Soviet agent, he was
the only Jew in Stalin's inner circle, surviving against all odds in the face of true evil, he
was decorated with eleven military awards for bravery before defecting with valuable information for the U.S. government. As Sasha traces his own life,
from his early days in the KGB and his work with Nikita
Khruschev, to his defection to the U.S. in 1949 (with the
personal help of Harry Truman), his position as
the "ultimate outsider on the inside" gives the motion picture an
eyewitness perspective, revealing information about the former
Soviet Union never before in the
public domain.
